While driving to Reno, Nevada a few weeks ago with my husband, I noticed (how could you not) this lone tree on the side of the road decorated with pairs of shoes!
I knew I had to get a picture of this tree. Why? I wasn’t sure about that. All I knew is that I wanted a picture. Being my husband, he doesn’t like to turn around but conceded he would be willing to stop on the way home, IF I could remember where on the road the tree was located. Challenge on sucker!
On the way home, I was successful in the precise location of this tree. He pulled over, true to his word and granted a quick picture from the
opened passenger window. Once again, I should have not only requested the stop for the picture, AND a few moments outside of the car to take the picture. The man is so “literal” and after 31 years of marriage, I find myself using “mental telepathy” to clearly state my intentions instead of speaking precisely and clearly! Ugh! I forget his brain is wired differently and I haven’t figured out the pathway yet!
Back to the tree. I finally figured out what the tree wanted me to share! The tree represents life metaphorically speaking. The trunk is our direct connection to mother earth. We are the tree’s limbs. We reach out and stretch in many different directions, each sharing our uniqueness with the world. The leaves of the tree represents what we manifest into the world as our unique signature. Each tree species has its own unique leaf to identify its heritage.
All those shoes on the tree represent the diversity of who we are as spiritual beings living here on this plane of existence. This metaphor led me to ask the question, “what type of leaf am I creating and putting out into the world?” Am I proud of what I am manifesting with my energy and intention? Are you?
We might not be able to switch trees but we do possess the ability to take responsibility for the energy we put out into the world. If you aren’t happy with your world, why not think about changing your shoes so that they reflect the energy you want to send out?
When your ready for the change, you can toss up your old pair to the Tree of Shoes located on Highway 395 just north of Reno just for fun, metaphorically speaking!
